The National Security representatives Council approved today, Sunday, the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding between the Iraqi and Iranian ministries of interior.
The media office of the National Security Adviser said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the National Security Adviser, Qasim Al-Araji, presided over the fourth session of the Council of National Security Agents, in the presence of the members of the Council," noting that "the Council discussed the topics on the agenda, and take the necessary decisions and recommendations in this regard.
"The council affirmed its support for Baghdad Operations Command, in preparation for the millionth visit on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), and the council valued the great cooperation of the people of Kadhimiya and Adhamiyah with the security forces."
The statement pointed out that "the session also witnessed the approval of the conclusion of (a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of public and internal security between the Iraqi and Iranian ministries of interior), as well as (the joint report between the Iraqi Defense University for postgraduate Studies and the Iranian Defense and Strategic Studies University).
