Popular Mobilization Forces announced Sunday the arrest of 22 Syrians who infiltrated across the border towards the city of Mosul.
A statement by PMF, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "after receiving accurate intelligence information that a group of people had infiltrated from Syrian territory towards the city of Mosul, a tight ambush was set up by a force from the 53rd Brigade, with the participation of intelligence, and succeeded in arresting 22 person of Syrian nationality .
The statement pointed out that "measures were taken against them and they were transferred to the competent authorities."
