Iraq legally succeeded in overcoming the barriers of international banking secrecy, FCOI affirms

The Federal Commission of Integrity (FCOI) revealed on Tuesday, that Iraq for the first time managed to overcome the barriers of the international banking secrecy.
 
FCOI said in a, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Iraq for the first time enable to overcome the international banking secrecy, through legal procedures, which enabled him to view the contents of the treasury in Switzerland."

The statement added, "Transparency International's reports for the year (2021) indicated a clear improvement and progress in the classification of Iraq among the countries of the world within the Corruption Perceptions Index report issued by the organization."
