National Olympic Committee announced on Saturday, the updates of a memorandum of joint sports cooperation between Iraq and Iran.
”The head of the National Olympic Committee, Raad Hammoudi, arrived in the Iranian capital, Tehran, accompanied by an Iraqi Olympic delegation that includes the Secretary-General and Finance in addition to twelve officials as the head of a central sports federation,” according to a statement by the Olympic Committee, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The statement included that, Hamoudi and the accompanying delegation received a high official reception led by the Head of the Iranian Olympic Committee, Ridha Salehi Amiri, Naseer Abdul Mohsen, Iraq's ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and a number of staff from the Iraqi embassy in Tehran, in addition to members of the Executive Office of the Iranian Olympic Committee, Ridha Rahimi and Abdi Iftikhari, as well as the Director of International Relations in Iranian Olympic Committee, Farid Fattahian, Director of Public Relations Mahmoud Abdolhi, and Director of the National Team Monitoring Center, Peyman Fakhri.
”The Iraqi Olympic visit comes to put the memorandum of joint sports cooperation concluded between the two countries into serious implementation via bilateral meetings that will be held by the heads of the federations with their counterparts, and to see the most prominent preparation programs, stadiums and others, which can benefit the Iraqi players and national teams,” added the statement.
