The first deputy speaker of the parliament, Hakim Zamili, said Tuesday that the reform phase has begun and will only end with the removal of the corrupt.
"During his meeting with the head of the federal Board of Supreme Audit, Rafel Yassin Khudhair, al-Zamili confirmed that the presidency of the parliament, as well as the parliamentary committees to be formed after a while, will closely monitor all reports issued by FBSA," his press office said in a statement received by the Iraqi news agency INA.
Al-Zamili called for "the need to redouble efforts and coordination between the Parliament and regulators to scrutinize the work of state institutions and to detect corruption and imbalances."
Al-Zamili pledged to "make a visit to FBSA headquarters," stressing "the role of FBSA in the supervisory aspect in a way that reflects the legacy of this institution, the sobriety of its reports and the efficiency of its employees."
"All the necessary facilities for the work of FBSA so that it can carry out its work impartially, professionally and courageously," Al-Zamili said.
