AIFI captures a terrorist involved in targeting Al-Kadhimiya in 2016

The Agency of Intelligence and Federal Investigation -AIFI announced Today, Thursday, arresting a dangerous terrorist who participated in major terrorist operations in Baghdad, including targeting the holy city of Kadhimiya in 2016.
 
AIFI said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Under the supervision and field follow-up of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Intelligence and Federal Investigations, the forces of the AIFI managed to apprehend one of the most important members of the terrorist organization ISIS, who is required by the Judiciary according to the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law in the so-called Wilayat North Baghdad.”
 
The statement added, "Through investigation , the accused admitted his responsibility for transporting suicide terrorists, planting IED’s in Baghdad, as well as involving in many terrorist operations in which silenced weapons were used."
 
The Agency continued, “the terrorist also confessed that he was responsible on transporting many suicide bombers in 2016, who targeted the holy city of Kadhimiya and Al-Hurriya cites, and he also admitted transferring three terrorists who targeted Taji gas plant in the same year."
 
AIFI indicated that " the terrorist admitted his responsibility for planting IED’s in 2019 that targeted the safe innocents in the cities of Al shula'a and the Arbaatalaf (4 Thousands) Market in the Al-Shaab area." 
The Agency also explained, “All the legal measures have been taken against him in preparation for referring him to the judiciary to receive his just punishment."
