Volcanic activity in Tonga and dangerous tsunami waves threaten US cities

The US Pacific Tsunami Monitoring Center said “dangerous tsunamis” were caused by volcanic activity in Tonga.
 
He added in a statement that American Samoa is threatened by sea level swings and strong ocean waves that could threaten beaches in coastal cities.
 
Tonga is located in Oceania, an archipelago of 176 islands in the South Pacific, on the road between Hawaii and New Zealand.
