Sayyed Al-Sadr: We will stay seeking to strengthen the Iraqi Army

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, affirmed on Wednesday, his quest to strengthen the Iraqi army and its prestige, while stressing his refusal to attack the army, whether verbally or otherwise.

“One of the most important characteristics of our heroic Iraqi army is dedication and annihilation in the homeland, in addition to self-denial," Al-Sadr stated in a tweet followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

He included, "May Allah have mercy on martyrs, and may Allah heal the wounded, and may Allah accept their work. We will continue to strive to strengthen the army and its prestige, and we will remain refusing to attack it verbally or otherwise. The strength of our army is a strength for the homeland,"
