Rasoul: We will not allow any party to harm the security of the citizen

    Major General Yahya Rasoul confirmed, today, Friday, that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces issued several directives against those involved in the Jableh incident in Babil Governorate. 

    Major General Rasoul told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is directly following up the investigations into the Jableh incident in Babil Governorate," noting that "the Prime Minister directed that the National Security Agency undertake the investigation into the file of this case in coordination with the Babil Governorate Appeals Court.". 

    He added, "The Prime Minister directed a fair investigation and taking the most severe penalties against the defaulters," stressing that "no party will be allowed to prejudice the security of the citizen in any inch of the homeland.". 

    He added, "Directs were issued to arrest a number of officers and people in connection with the Jableh incident.". 

    Earlier today, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, assigned the National Security Agency to investigate the Jableh incident.
