PM issues 13 directives to security services

      Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, issued 13 directives to the security services. 

    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, attended the annual operations conference of the Joint Operations Command for the year 2021, which started its works today, Monday," noting that "the conference presented a number of briefings of the activities and tasks accomplished by the joint operations in its various military units and types during the current year, and its future vision in confronting terrorism and achieving security and stability throughout the country.   

    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, gave a number of directives to all security services, and to a number of competent authorities, as follows: 

      1- The need for continuous cooperation and coordination between all security ministries and intelligence agencies; To achieve security and stability, impose the authority of the state and the law, and work as a team. 

    2- Facing challenges, such as uncontrolled weapons, drug dealing and clan conflicts, we must all cooperate, security ministries, agencies and intelligence agencies to confront and eliminate it. 

    3- Intensifying the intelligence effort to eliminate Daesh terrorist gangs.

    4- Emphasis on the professional and institutional work of the security members  services.

      5- Leaders must take legal measures to prosecute and pursue perpetrators of organized crime, crime and drug gangs. 

      6- We direct the Air Force to continue these strikes to eliminate these groups and the heads of terrorist gangs. 

      7- All concerned ministries and security services should work on the return of displaced families to their areas and develop urgent solutions to ensure the provision of basic requirements and a decent life for these families.   

      8- The necessity of proceeding with joint action in Sinjar in order to prepare the way for the launch of reconstruction and construction projects in the region, and to work on the rule of law.  

      9- Emphasis on training of all kinds, especially for combat units.

      10- We emphasize putting the right man in the right place, which is a necessity for the success of the leadership system of all ministries and agencies. 

      11- Adopting modern technology in the work of our security forces in the military tracks.  

      12- All security and service ministries, agencies and intelligence services must work together and provide support to implement the future vision. 

      13- We look forward to 2022 being a year of peace, and that political disagreements and problems do not affect your work and your duty to maintain security and stability, and that your concern is the security of your partitions, and we are all supportive of you, God willing.
