A Russian center publishes photos of the Omicron mutant

     The Federal Consumer Protection Agency “Rosputrebnadzor” said that the Russian “Victor” State Center for Virology and Biotechnology published pictures of the Omicron virus strain.
     
    And the authority added, in a statement published on its website: “In the laboratories of the Victor Center, a mutant Omicron infection of the Corona virus was transferred to a culture of Vero E6 cells, to study its morphological characteristics, that is, studying the shape, size, presence of structures on the surface, etc..”
     
    The statement noted that on the sixth day after transmitting the virus infection, the cells were separated from the surface of the special vials in which they grew.
