Salih and Al-Mashhadani are discussing initiation upcoming entitlements to form an effective government

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, and former Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani discussed, today, Monday, the initiation of the upcoming elections by forming an effective government.

A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "President Barham Salih received today at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, former Speaker of Parliament Mahmoud al-Mashhadani".

The statement added that, "During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the political situation and the challenges facing the country, the need to unify the national ranks, protect security and stability in the country, and initiate the upcoming benefits by forming an effective government that responds to the aspirations of citizens and improve living and service conditions".
