Sterling's 100th goal gives Manchester City a difficult win over Wolverhampton

    English international striker Raheem Sterling scored his 100th goal in the English Premier League, to give his team Manchester City a difficult victory with a single goal against its guest Wolverhampton, who played the second half with ten players, in the sixteenth stage today, Saturday. 

    Manchester City raised its score to 38 points, temporarily separated by 4 points from Liverpool, who meet Aston Villa later, and 5 points from Chelsea III, which receives Leeds on Saturday as well. 

    Sterling's goal came from a penalty kick in the middle of the second half, giving his team its sixth consecutive victory in the local league. 

    Manchester City's possession of the ball in the first half was futile and did not pose a real threat to Wolverhampton's goal, with the exception of a shot by Portuguese Bernardo Silva on his left from the outskirts of the area passed over the crossbar, knowing that the international scored 6 goals in the last 8 matches in the English Premier League. 

    The turning point came in the added time of the first half, when Wolverhampton striker Raul Jimenez received a yellow card for obstructing the Spaniard Rodri from behind, before receiving the second yellow and being sent off because he tried to intercept the ball from close range when the Spaniard executed it, after Only 31 seconds, so that his team completed the entire second half with ten players. 

    Wolverhampton captain Connor Cody saved his goal from a sure goal when the header kicked by German Ilkay Gundogan before entering the net in the 55th minute. Moutinho inside the area, to be translated successfully by Sterling in the 66th minute. 

    Both Jack Grealish and Brazilian Gabriel Jesus missed two chances at the end of the match, before City goalkeeper Ederson saved Max Clement's header in the last seconds.
