New Joint security operation launched in Kirkuk, SMC says

The Security Media Cell- SMC- announced today, Wednesday, the launch of a joint security operation in Kirkuk province.
 
"Aiming to eliminate the sources of terrorism and pursuing ISIS terrorist gangs, a joint security operation was launched in eastern Kirkuk province," SMC said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
The statement added, "The operation came with the participation of the advanced headquarters of the Joint Operations Command in Kirkuk, the third and fourth axes of the Peshmerga and the Counter-Terrorism Service."
