Three wanted terrorists have been arrested in Salah al-Din, the security media cell said Wednesday, adding that one of them was working as an intelligence agent for ISIS terrorist gangs and the other two were working as fighters against security forces.
"During its proactive operations to dry up the sources of terrorism, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency (INA) was able to arrest three terrorists in Salah al-Din province wanted in accordance with article 4/terrorism," the media cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency ( INA).
"The first terrorist was acting as an intelligence officer for ISIS terrorist gangs against our security forces in Hamreen district and worked to equip terrorist detachments in the Hamreen Mountains with all their needs for livelihoods, medicines and other materials," the statement said.
"The other terrorist acted as a fighter against our security forces in Tikrit district and also worked within the so-called "Non-Islamic State Real Estate Bureau, the statement said ,adding that the third terrorist acted as a fighter in the ranks of the ISIS terrorist gangs against our security forces and monitoring their movements."
"Their statements were recorded in the initial and judicial confessions, and legal proceedings were taken against them," he said.
