Three drug traffickers arrested in Ramadi

    Anbar provincial police arrested on Monday three drug traffickers in possession of 313 captagon pills.

    "Information received by the police command indicates that a number of people in Ramadi district are in possession of narcotic pills, official judicial approvals have been obtained and a detachment has been formed from the Department of Drug and Psychotropic Substances affairs and went to the destination," said a statement issued by the provincial police command received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    "The convicts were caught in the act in Ramadi," he said, adding that "they were arrested in possession of 313 captagon pills and (9) Valium pills."

    The statement continued, "A fundamental arrest report has been organized with the above-mentioned seizures and the arrestees have been jailed in accordance with Article 28 of the Drugs Law, according to the decision of the competent investigative judge."
