Lukoil company operating in Iraq announced today, Thursday the discovery of the Arido field, with a reserve of 7 billion barrels.
The head of the company, Vagit Alekperov, said in a press conference held on the occasion of the production of the West Qurna 2 field reaching one billion barrels, and attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "today is an important day for us, after we reached the production of one billion barrels of oil," noting that "Over the past years, we have felt support from the Iraqi government."
He added, "The tenth block is the second project after our success in Qurna/2," noting that "we discovered the Arido field, which has a reserve of 7 billion barrels."
He stressed, "We are the main partners of the Ministry of Oil and the National Oil Company, and we cooperate always," pointing out that "overcoming all difficulties in cooperation with the Ministry of Oil."
