SJC denies the attack on Judge Faiq Zaidan in Baghdad 

The Supreme Judicial Council denied, today, Sunday, that the head of the council, Faiq Zaidan, was attacked by unknown gunmen. 

The media center of the council stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "media and social networking sites circulated news claiming that unidentified gunmen attacked Judge Faiq Zaidan, head of the Supreme Judicial Council in Baghdad.". 

He noted that "the news is false, and calls upon the media to be careful when publishing news and to derive information from its official sources."
