Today, Wednesday, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, discussed with the President of the Kurdistan Region Judicial Council Judge Benkin Qasim, amending the Federal Court Law.
A statement issued by the Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "Judge Zaidan received the head of the Kurdistan Region Judicial Council, Judge Benin Qasim, Minister of Justice Firsat Ahmed, and the regional government representative in Baghdad Faris Issa."
The statement added, "The meeting discussed a draft law amending the Federal Court Law and the participation of the District Judicial Council in nominating the president and members of the court with its new formation in accordance with the law amending the court law."
