The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, confirmed that several measures have been taken that would enhance security in Dayala and other governorates and impose the law.

Rasoul told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There are those who live on sectarianism, and try to take advantage of the events, and their actions will not deceive the Iraqi people, and there will be prosecution and difficult reckoning for all voices inciting sectarianism."

He added that "there are several directives issued to impose security and law enforcement in Dayala province, including sending military reinforcements, as well as intensifying prosecution of wanted persons, carrying out security operations against Daesh remnants and following a new intelligence strategy."

The spokesman for the Commander in Chief praised the great role that Arab tribes play in supporting stability and the measures taken by the security forces against those who try to stir up strife, fabricate video films and republish old ones.

Last week, daesh terrorist gangs launched a terrorist attack on Al-Rashad village in Al-Muqdadiyah district, Dayala governorate, killing 11 civilians and wounding 6 others.

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi issued a number of directives to the security and military leaders in Dayala, while calling on all parties not to exploit the citizens' tragedy to achieve certain things.
