Anbar is to commence reconstructing Minaret of Anah

    Within the reconstruction campaigns, the Ministry of Culture is seeking to reconstruct Minaret of Anah that was detonated by ISIS terrorist gangs at the end of 2016 as part of their brutal practices in obliterating the history And the heritage of Iraq.
     
    The Director of the Media of the Antiquities and Heritage Authority in the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hakim Al-Shammari, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The artistic, archaeological and engineering cadres have begun the reconstruction of the (Anah) minaret," noting that "the authority allocated the necessary funds to restore life to it and rebuild it ".
     
    He added that "the authority prepared the statements and completed all the work requirements in the minaret, which included the collection of all the remnants resulting from the explosion, including bricks and decorations for the minaret, for the purpose of collecting and using them again in its reconstruction."
     
     
    He indicated that "the minaret was previously bombed in 2006 by Al-Qaeda terrorist organization and was reconstructed in 2012 from the allocations of Anbar Governorate within the budget for the development of the regions."
