Secretary General of cabinet Hamid Naeem al-Ghizi o called n Sunday on Italian companies to actively contribute to the Ur city development project, while noting that the city's development project is receiving considerable governmental attention.
"Al-Ghozi received the Italian ambassador to Baghdad, Bruno Antonio Pasquino, on the occasion of the end of his duties," the Cabinet Secretariat said in a statement received by the Official Iraqi News Agency (INA), noting that, he Secretary-General of cabinet thanked and appreciated Pasquino for his efforts during his time in Baghdad, through his positive positions, which contributed to the development of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Rome.”
According to the statement, al-Ghizi called on "Italian companies to provide active support and contribution to the project to develop the archaeological city of Ur, which is of great government interest and the supervision of the project by the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, as well as the expertise it has in dealing with archaeological sites".
For his part, Pasquino expressed his "happiness at the security situation in Iraq, that it has become a security-stable country, and that there is a great desire of Italian diplomats to work in Iraq," praising "the role of the Secretary-General of the cabinet, which is to provide all kinds of high support and coordination to the Italian Embassy with the official authorities."
