Major General Rasoul: Tarmiyah is stable, American withdrawal continues according to prepared plans

     the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces spokesman, Major General Yahya Rasoul, confirmed today, Thursday, that the Tarmiyah district, north of Baghdad, is witnessing great security stability, while indicating that the American withdrawal continues according to the organized plans. 

     

    Major General Rasoul told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Security operations, under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, are continuing to pursue the remnants of Daesh terrorist gangs in areas north of Baghdad, especially Tarmiyah, as it links a number of provinces, including Diyala, Salah al-Din and Anbar," noting that "Tarmiyah is witnessing great security now.  

    He added, "The withdrawal is taking place according to the plan developed by the Joint Operations Command and in coordination with the international coalition, which includes the stay of advisers to provide advice on many issues by exchanging intelligence information, training, arming and equipping, and their number will be at the discretion of the Iraqi military leadership and what the armed forces need," noting that "their presence It will be within Iraqi military camps, and their protection is the responsibility of the Iraqi forces. 

     

     Rasoul explained that "the withdrawal of the American forces actually began after the strategic dialogue and the fourth round that was conducted between Baghdad and the United States, and there are a number of combat units preparing for withdrawal process   and redeployment outside the Iraqi borders," noting that "there is high coordination in the delivery of equipment, combat vehicles and weapons to the Iraqi armed forces, as well as the use of international coalition aircraft to target specific areas against Daesh terrorist gangs.
