Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi ordered to send a military aircraft to transport the coffin of the scholar, Dr. Mahmoud Mohammad Hassan Muhammad Al-Mudhaffar from Saudi Arabia to Najaf province.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) stated in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Thursday, that "According to the direction of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, Iraq's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Abdul Sattar Hadi Al-Janabi, accompanied by the military attache, Brigadier General Daoud Al-Samarrai, attended on Wednesday, to oversee the transfer of the coffin of the scholer, Dr. Mahmoud Mohammed Hassan Mohamed Al-Mudhaffar from Dammam to the holy Najaf province.
The Ambassador and his accompanying delegation also visited the house of the late to pay tribute, and extend the Prime Minister's condolences to the bereaved family and his direction to transport the coffin of the late by a military aircraft.
"The Iraqi delegation received all the necessary facilities from the Saudi military and health authorities in Dammam", MOFA added.
It's worth to mention that the deceased is Dr. Mahmoud the son of Sheikh Hassan Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed Mudhaffar.
Dr. Mahmoud Al- Mudhaffar was born in 1931 in Najaf province, Iraq, and he is from a well-known distinguished scholarly family of Al- Mudhaffar in the holy Najaf province.
His father is the Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Hassan Al- Mudhaffar, one of the great scholars of Najaf. He has authored many books.
His uncle is Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Reda Al-Mudhaffar, is the founder of the Publishing Forum (Muntada Al Nasher) committee and the College of Jurisprudence, from which many of the nation's prominent scholars of our modern age graduated.
