Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi offered today, Sunday, condolences to the Lebanese people on the departure of the head of the Shiite Islamic Council .
Al-Kadhimi said in the text of the condolence received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We extend to the Islamic nation and the brotherly Lebanese people, our sincere condolences and deep sympathy for the departure of the venerable scholar, head of the Shiite Islamic Council in Lebanon, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, we belong to God and to Him we shall return .”
And as we ask God Almighty for his mercy and forgiveness, we recall the blessed years of his life that he spent in the service of humanity, and urging fraternity and rapprochement between the various religions and sects, and all spectra of the brotherly Lebanese people, with good advice and sincere work .
And he continued, "May God accept the good deeds of the deceased, and inspire his family and all his loved ones patience and solace."
