The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced, on Wednesday, capturing the main transporter of weapons and ammunition for ISIS terrorist gangs in Kirkuk and Salah al-Din provinces.
A statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Agency of Intelligence and Federal Investigation at the Ministry of Interior, was able to arrest a wanted suspect in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of Anti-Terrorism Law in Kirkuk province."
The statement added “after conducting the investigation, the accused confessed being an ISIS member since 2014, as he worked with terrorist detachments and controls to target members of the security services. The accused also participated in two attacks against the security units of Baiji refinery, and worked as a major transporter of weapons and ammunition in terrorist detachments and their hideouts inside Salah al-Din province as well as working with terrorist detachments located in Kirkuk province”.
