Defense Minister Juma'a Inad confirmed on Monday, that the majority of army is currently deployed in northern and western Iraq.

He pointed out that the foreign force in the country “came with an Iraqi request to fight Daesh terrorist gangs as it was agreed with the Turkish side to form a joint coordination center. A meeting was held with the Turkish ambassador and informed the importance of coordination in facing challenges,"
The Minister of Defense confirmed that "Turkey was informed of the presence of Daesh terrorist gangs on its territory," noting that "the army has primary and secondary duties to protect internal security and institutions,"
