The Army Chief of Staff oversees the security fortifications on the border with Syria

The Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah, arrived today, tuesdayin Sinjar district.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that Yarallah oversees the reinforcements and fortifications on the border strip between Iraq and Syria.
 
Meanwhile, The Commander of West Nineveh Operations, Major General Jabbar al-Tai, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the talk about the return of (PKK) to Sinjar district are just rumors, noting that the situation in Sinjar is stable until this moment and the security agreement is still continuing, but there is some delay in implementation due to administrative procedures.
Regarding the border barrier on the Syrian border within the West Nineveh Operations Sector, Al-Tai indicated that this barrier represented by the slit trench with a depth of 3 meters and a width of 3 meters as well, and BRC blocker have helped a lot in limiting infiltration operations, pointing out that in case this barrier is fully completed, it will achieve a complete prevention of infiltration cases.
