The Chairwoman of the National Investment Commission, Suha Al-Najjar, confirmed that the volume of investments in Basra reached to 10 billion dollars.
Al-Najjar said in her speech during the activities of the International Investment Conference in Basra: that the completed investment projects in the province exceed six billion dollars, while investment requests in Basra amounted to about three billion dollars.
Al-Najjar pointed out that Basra's projects are the highest achievement among the Iraqi provinces, noting that all investments in Iraq are profitable, and the investment projects in Basra are expanding, as most of them are non-oil projects.
The activities of the International Investment Conference were launched in Basra Governorate, in the presence of the Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, and the Chairwoman of the National Investment Commission, Suha Al-Najjar, with the participation of a number of investment companies.
