Security Delegation Arrives in Yathrib District in Salah Al-Din

The Security Media Cell announced on Saturday, that a top brass security delegation arrived in Yathrib district in Salah al-Din province.

A statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that the purpose behind the visit of the security delegation is to investigate on the ground the details and circumstances of the terrorist attack that took place yesterday on a funeral in Yathrib district in Salah al-Din province.

He added that the deputy commander of the joint operations, the assistant chief of staff of the army and a number of senior officers from the Ministry of Defense and the Joint Operations Command arrived at the scene of the incident.

Earlier, SMC announced that a terrorist attack targeted one of the funeral tents in Albu Jili area in Yathrib district in Salah al-Din province, resulting the killing and wounding of number of civilians.
