Rashid Stresses the Importance of Expediting the Formation of the Kurdistan Regional Government

President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed on Sunday the importance of expediting the formation of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) so that it can fulfill its role in providing services to citizens and confronting regional and international challenges and developments.
 
The Presidency's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received the head of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Baghdad, Nizar Mohammed Saeed."
The statement added, "The meeting reviewed the political and security situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as developments in the region."
According to the statement, the President stressed "the importance of a unified stance among all political forces to achieve the hopes and aspirations of our people," noting "the need for coordination and cooperation to enhance harmony, cohesion, and peaceful coexistence among the components of Iraqi society."
 
The President of the Republic stressed "the importance of expediting the formation of the Kurdistan Regional Government so that it can fulfill its role in providing services to citizens and confronting regional and international challenges and developments."
The statement concluded, "The meeting discussed the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region, and emphasized the need to continue consultations and meetings and find solutions to outstanding issues in accordance with the law, the constitution, and political understandings."
