SMC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Joint Operations Command mourns the martyrdom of the five heroic martyrs (Colonel Pilot Osama Tariq Abdul Obaid, Major Pilot Ali Fadel Ghadban, Deputy Officer Louay Hatem Farhan, Deputy Officer Atheer Fayez Ibrahim, deputy officer Wissam Ali Sfeih, , who are the crew of a Mi-17 helicopter, who were martyred due to the crash of the helicopter near Amerli district, today dawn at 245 o'clock while they were conducting a combat mission.
