Cabinet Spokesman Hassan Nadhim confirmed that the arrest of the terrorist network that planned and carried out the bombing of Al-Wahailat market in al-Sadr City coincided with the meeting of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi with the families of the victims.
"Our security forces arrested all the perpetrators of the Al-Sadr City bombing," said Nadhim at the weekly press conference of the Cabinet, which Iraqi News Agency (INA) attended.
Regarding the (Dari) initiative launched by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, Nadhim said: "The electronic platform for applying for land resulted a wide turnout from citizens. The government has seriously prepared to distribute land to citizens."
He commented on the pandemic situation in the country, calling on Iraqis to "get the vaccination after the significant increase in covid-19 cases and deaths,''
"The Cabinet hosted the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and discussed with him the decisions of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety"
Nadhim added that "the Cabinet also hosted the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity and work is underway to avoid the problems facing energy," noting that "the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity will present plans to the Prime Minister to put an end to the power crisis."
''The hosted the heads of the Financial Supervision and Integrity Authority. The Prime Minister stressed the oversight role and not to exercise it in a way that hinders the work of state institutions." Nadhim included.
He pointed out that Cabinet approved the contract of the Ministry of Oil with the French company to implement four major projects."
The major projects are the collection and refining of 600 bottles and the development of the Artawi oil field. "Total Company will implement the giant water injection project and a solar plant with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts,'' he noted.
Nadhim explained that the Cabinet decided to "allocate more than two billion dinars to provide vaccines for bird flu, " as well as approved "the first amendment to the law for the care of people with disabilities and special needs."
He pointed out that "the Cabinet approved the contribution of the Ministry of Finance to OPEC Fund for International Development."
