Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq Irina Voyashkova- Sollorano revealed a strategy to adopt clean energy projects in Iraq.
Sollorano said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Wednesday, that "there is a strategy to adopt clean energy projects, especially projects that depend on solar energy.
She added, "This strategy is adopted by the Iraqi government, and the United Nations is working to adopt it widely and implement it on the ground, in support of these projects that depend on alternative energy or sustainable energy. She explained that "these projects are important for future generations in order to provide a clean and sustainable environment.
Irina indicated that "regarding Al-Nouri Mosque, the contract was referred to the company that won the design of the project and it will take a not short period because it is a special project with many details and will be completed in coordination with the local cadres concerned with the implementation of the project.
