Large-Scale Ops in Basra to pursue wanted and conflict-inducers

Basra Operations Command announced on Sunday, the launch of large-scale operations to search for wanted persons and instigators of tribal conflicts in the province.

The Command stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that large-scale operations were launched in Basra to pursue wanted persons, those who provoked clan disputes, confiscate all the unlicensed weapons and arms and arrest the drug dealers.

The statement also pointed out that Initial results confirm that the security forces were able to arrest 5 wanted persons, according to various criminal articles, and confiscated light weapons and various ammunitions within the areas north and south of Basra province.
