The Security Media Cell announced on Thursday, the arrest of 8 terrorist members in Kirkuk, including medical therapists for wounded ISIS gangs.
A statement by the SMC received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that the detachments of the Agency of Intelligence and Federal Investigations (AIFI) at the Ministry of Interior carried out their qualitative and proactive operations, based on an accurate information, to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs.
The statement added, the recent security operation resulted in the arrest of 8 ISIS members in Kirkuk province who were launching attacks against our security forces.
SMC pointed out that during the initial investigations, some of them confessed on their work to treat ISIS members and perform surgical operations for them and providing medical assistance after their injuries in battles with the security services, noting that investigations are still ongoing with them, as they are wanted, according to the provisions of Article 4 anti- terrorism law.
