The Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and the new Turkish ambassador, Ali Reza Konay, discussed today, Thursday, facilitating procedures for obtaining entry visas in both countries.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, received today, the new Turkish ambassador to Baghdad, Ali Reza Konai," noting that "Al-Halbousi congratulated Konai on the occasion of assuming his new duties."
He added, "During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, enhancing cooperation in the security and economic fields, as well as discussing the water file and the necessity of regulating the water relationship between Iraq and Turkey."
The office added that "the two sides discussed facilitating citizens' access to visas in both countries, a number of common issues, and ways to develop relations between the two countries."
