Al-Sisi invites Al-Halbousi to visit Egypt

The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi invited on Sunday, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammad al-Halbousi to visit Egypt.
al-Halbousi media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that Parliament Speaker Mohammad al-Halbousi, in the presence of First Deputy Hassan Al-Kaabi, met with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

al-Halbousi welcomed President Al-Sisi, praising the depth of the historical and fraternal relationship that unites the two brotherly countries.
al-Halbousi pointed out that holding the tripartite summit in Baghdad is an important and major step in supporting Iraq and enhancing ways of joint cooperation, stressing the support of the legislative authority in Iraq for the Iraqi-Egyptian-Jordanian trilateral cooperation, the statement added.

In the same context, the meeting also discussed developments in the region, stressing the importance of coordinating tripartite positions on international issues of common interest, in a way that contributes to achieving stability.

On his part, President Al-Sisi expressed his happiness for visiting Baghdad, stressing his country's support for Iraq, and the importance of enhancing prospects for tripartite strategic cooperation. 
President Al-Sisi also invited the Speaker of the Iraqi parliament to visit the Arab Republic of Egypt, in order to intensify cooperation between the two legislative authorities.
