Iraqi Ministry of Health announced that Iraq enters the third epidemiological wave, indicating the plan to boost vaccine quantities and vaccination outlets.
MOH spokesman, Saif Al-Badr, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), on Saturday, that the new epidemic wave that entered the country is much worse, more severe and dangerous than the first and second waves that entered the country previously, pointing out that the new wave requires confronting it by focusing on the preventive measures , The most important of which are wearing masks and spatial distancing, as well as vaccination.
Al-Badr pointed out that MOH has started implementing an expanded plan that includes increasing the quantities of imported vaccines and the number of vaccination outlets in Baghdad and the provinces, confirming the need to adhere seriously implement the instructions of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety, as he urges all media and social networking sites to activate the dissemination of health education and awareness and to adopt only scientific sources in transmitting the information.
Al-Badr also stressed the role of religious, tribes and community leaders as well as public figures in spreading a culture of health awareness about the Corona pandemic, ways to prevent it, and encouraging for receiving vaccinations, especially People at higher risk from COVID-19.
