The international coalition forces handed today, Thursday, over weapons and equipment worth more than 3 million dollars to the Peshmerga .
A statement of the coalition forces, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the coalition forces (Combined Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve (CTFOIR) handed over to the Peshmerga Regional Guards weapons and equipment worth $3,322,145.00."
He continued, "This equipment to support Iraq in its mission to defeat ISIS, and is part of the Training and Equipment Fund program to combat ISIS, which has been implemented since 2014 and is funded through the US Department of Defense budget allocated to Operation Inherent Resolve," noting that "the program that oversees the Its implementation of Operation Inherent Resolve aims to support the Iraqi government in the fight against ISIS.
