The Spanish club Espanyol expressed its condolences today, Tuesday, over the fire at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in the capital, Baghdad, which killed 82 people, and injured 110 others.
The club stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Dear partners, we were shocked by the news of the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in southern Baghdad, which killed at least 82 people."
The statement added, "We would like to present to you on behalf of the President of Espanyol, Chen Yancheng, and on behalf of the employees and players of Espanyol Club, our deepest condolences and all our support and love in these sad days for your country." With patience and courage to overcome the ordeal of losing loved ones."
