The Nuclear Energy Agency confirmed that Iran had begun the process of enriching uranium by 60 percent in a laboratory in the city of Natanz .

Negotiations began in the Austrian capital, Vienna, in early April, between delegations from the countries concerned with the nuclear deal, to discuss opportunities for the United States to return to the agreement and lift its sanctions on Iran.
