Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, signed with his Iranian counterpart, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Muhammad Shariatmadari, a joint action plan for cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two sides in the fields of training, development and social affairs.

He added, "The plan included cooperation in the field of improving services provided to people with disabilities, as well as training, development and the social security file," noting that "the ministry is looking to expand the base of inclusion in social protection and to benefit from Iranian expertise in this field."
Al-Rikabi added, "The plan has entered into force since now and the extent of its implementation extends for five years, as it includes interest for the segments covered by the services of the Ministry of Labor, the establishment of joint workshops, the exchange of experiences and visits between the two parties, and the initiation of rehabilitation and training courses at the expense of the Iranian side."
