The leader of the Sadrist movement, Mr. Muqtada Al-Sadr, confirmed today, Friday, that the first martyr, Mr. Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr, was the voice opposing the oppressive dictator.
Al-Sadr said in a tweet followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Our martyr was the first opposing voice to the unjust dictator who crouched on the chest of Iraq. The Baath’s sinful hand once again, thinking that they will silence the voice of truth, but his martyrdom was the beginning of the end of the Ba’athist regime.
