In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the ministry said, "Regarding what has been covered by social media sites and pages regarding the spread of sulfur dioxide (so2) resulting from the volcano Latina on the Italian island of Sicily, the issue of the spread of sulfur dioxide concerns the environment and is outside its jurisdiction. .
The Ministry added, "The Meteorological Authority is concerned with determining the weather elements and their impact on the weather."
