Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, announced today, Friday, the ministry's readiness to bear all costs for Iraqi families residing in Syria and wishing to return to Iraq.
The Ministry of Immigration stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Jabro met a group of Iraqi families in Syria in the presence of the Chargé d'Affairs and its staff," noting that "the Minister of Immigration listened to the problems of Iraqi families, including the issuance of residency and the obtaining of identity documents." For newborns, as well as obtaining citizenship, a nationality certificate, and a passport as families of Iraqi citizens. "
According to the statement, Gabbro expressed its readiness to deliver all requests related to this purpose to the concerned authorities in Baghdad, and that it will deal directly with some special cases, confirming that the ministry is ready to bear the costs of all who wish to return voluntarily to the country, and to provide support to these families immediately her return and sending a special committee to extract her identity documents.
The statement indicated that "the minister subsequently met with the Syrian Minister of Interior, Major General Muhammad Al-Rahmoun, in the building of the Syrian Ministry of Interior, and conveyed to him the problems of Iraqis residing in Syria, including residency and entry visas, pointing at the same time to" support efforts for the voluntary return of Iraqis who wish to voluntarily return to the country.
