Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed on Saturday, that the elections will be held as scheduled, while stressing that no turning back on state-building project.
"We are proceeding with determination to implement the government's program, despite the dissonant voices and the fabricated escalation," said Al-Kadhimi in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "This negative atmosphere, which is intended to spread and expand, targets the hopes of the Iraqis for a better tomorrow,”
“The elections are on time, God willing, and there is no turning back on state-building project," asserted Al-Kadhimi.
