Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) today, Friday: "We received with great sadness the news of the accident that the brothers in the Arab Republic of Egypt suffered, after two trains collided in the Sohag governorate, which caused the loss of a number of civilians."
He added, "In this afflicted person, we send our heartfelt condolences to the government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt, asking God for mercy and satisfaction for the dead, and for a speedy recovery and safety for the injured."
The source of the Ambulance Authority in Egypt had confirmed the death of 32 people and the injury of 66 others in an accident involving two trains in the district of Tahta Center in Sohag, which resulted in the exit of three vehicles from the tracks.
