Oil prices rose today, Friday, with the opening of the global market.
And US crude futures, "West Texas Intermediate", were trading at $ 59.36 a barrel, up 1.37% from the previous closing price.
Brent contracts were trading at $ 62.68 a barrel, an increase of 1.18% over the previous settlement price, according to data provided by Bloomberg.
Oil prices were also supported by the disruption of navigation in the Suez Canal due to an aground container ship, which raised fears that oil supplies would be affected by this, but economic concerns about global demand for crude due to the Corona virus crisis limited the gains in oil prices.
