Prof. Alaa Hani Hassan Al-Jarakh, is a teaching staff at the College of Medicine at the University of Babylon, obtained membership of the Asian Council of Science Editors ACSE for the year 2021.
Al-Jarakh said to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The selection of the council’s members from scholars and editors from Asian countries is done through several criteria, the most important of which is their participation in the chairmanship or membership of the editorial boards of well-known international magazines and they have a long history in the sober global scientific publishing and others.
He added that "ACSE's core activities include supporting professional development through seminars, training workshops, courses and conferences, maintaining ambitious standards for editing and publishing throughout the Asian continent, and helping professionals in the scientific publishing community to communicate and collaborate."
He pointed out that "ACSE is the first organization in Asia to be developed with the aim of providing a unified and effective platform for Asian editors and scholars where they can understand their editorial problems, identify solutions, and address future challenges to improve the quality of scientific publications and develop scholars in the Asian continent."
